Headshot, Branding and Senior Photographer - bringing personality and fun to your photo sessions!

Meet Melissa

I have been sharing recently how excited I am about photographing outdoor headshots in the fall season – it truly has the best weather, light and backgrounds all year round. And by fall color I don’t always mean reds, yellows and browns of fall foliage. There’s just something about the angle of the sun and how it reflects off sidewalks and walls to create one giant muted palette. Perfect for headshot backgrounds!

One great way to make yourself stand out against this muted background is with a bright colored jacket, top or sweater. Depending upon your business, use this opportunity to put yourself front and center.

A bright color attracts the eye as your potential client scrolls through your LinkedIn Profile or Instagram feed. It also adds color to your website – many of my clients like to wear their “brand colors” and outdoor light complements any color.

So think of this when you are booking your next outdoor headshot. One of my favorite parts of prepping for a headshot session is to help my clients figure out what colors will look best in the style or circumstance of their headshot session.
