Headshot, Branding and Senior Photographer - bringing personality and fun to your photo sessions!

Meet Melissa

It’s summer! The days are long, the nights are warm, the kids are relaxed – and maybe even the parents are feeling a bit more calm, without the school and after-school rush to multiple activities.

It’s the perfect time to plan your holiday portraits!

Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But did you ever think about scheduling your family portraits during the summer?

  1.  Everyone is home! Many families contact me right before Thanksgiving to try to schedule a session in that precious and small block of time when the family is together for the holiday. Why not leave that time to just celebrate each other and send the kids back to college or the grandparents back home knowing that holiday pictures box is already checked.
  2. You all have that “on vacation” look and feeling. Whether you have just returned from the beach, or even if you haven’t had a trip out of town, that summer break feeling usually results in a less stressful session and makes for relaxed and happy expressions.
  3. Options…options! I can photograph in studio if don’t want anyone to know when the pictures were taken, but why waste the greenery and flowers that abound in our many parks and gardens throughout NOVA – or the modern look of an urban setting – without the cold or wind. And, with the luxury of the late setting sun in the summertime, no one needs to leave work early to catch the “golden hour.”
  4. Check it Off Your List. We all know how crazy it gets in those brief fall and winter months, so let me help you take one thing off your list before the holiday panic. My schedule is also more open in the summer months (except for my two weeks in Cape Cod, where I’m open for sessions in the mid Cape area in July if anyone is pining for some beach sessions). The fall fills up quickly with senior and family sessions, so if you can fit it in, why not check that box, relax and get some beautiful family portraits!
